Monmouth is coming off a 65-50 loss to La Salle in the Hawk Holiday Classic Championship Game on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the Bobcats dropped a 71-70 overtime heartbreaker at Florida Gulf Coast on Monday.
SCOUTING THE QUINNIPIAC BOBCATSNo Quinnipiac player has started every game this season, yet each of the 11 Bobcats who've seen the floor this year have started at least two games. 2015 MAAC Sixth Player of the Year Maria Napolitano leads the Bobcats at 12.0 points per game, while Adily Martucci is next in line at 8.5 points per game. Sarah Shewan has chipped in at 7.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, while the remainder of the team averages between 3.4 and 5.9 points per game. Aryn McClure leads the Bobcats at 5.6 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, while Edel Thornton has dished out a team-leading 2.1 assists per game.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. QUINNIPIACThe Bobcats own a 20-15 lead in the all-time series against the Hawks. Since Monmouth took a 69-66 victory at QU in the NEC Semifinals in March 2012, the Bobcats have won the last six. Included in the winning streak are three victories last season - two in the regular season and another in the MAAC Quarterfinals.
LAST TIME OUTJasmine McCall scored a career-high 15 points, but the Hawks fell to La Salle, 65-50, in the Hawk Holiday Classic Championship Game on Wednesday. La Salle's Amy Griffin scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds en route to tournament MVP honors.
Tyese Purvis joined her on the all-tournament team, averaging 11.0 points in the two games, including nine points in the championship game.
