Monmouth returns to action Saturday, when it travels to Providence. The Hawks are coming off a dramatic 86-80 overtime victory at Colgate on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Friars also got into the win column with a 69-50 win over Hartford Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Hall.

Providence is led by Jovana “Yoyo” Nogic, who's averaged 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, doing the majority of damage in shooting 55.0 percent (11-20) from long range. Aliyah Miller has also contributed 9.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, while Sarah Beal has added 8.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Erica Meyer has been a force defensively, averaging 2.0 blocks per game.

The Hawks outlasted Colgate, 86-80, in overtime on Sunday in Hamilton, NY. Tyese Purvis posted a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds, while McKinzee Barker narrowly missed a triple-double with 14 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Jasmine Walker contributed 14 points and eight rebounds, while Jamiyah Bethune chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds. Sarah Olson scored 10 points, all in the final 5:12 of regulation and overtime.
