Monmouth opens the 2015-16 season Friday, when it travels to Bethlehem, PA, to take on Lehigh. The Hawks are coming off a 13-18 campaign in 2014-15 in which they advanced to the MAAC Championship Quarterfinals before falling to top-seeded, regular-season champion and eventual MAAC Tournament Champion Quinnipiac. Meanwhile, the Mountain Hawks made a run to the 2015 Patriot League Championship Game as the No. 6 seed before falling to American.

SCOUTING THE LEHIGH MOUNTAIN HAWKS
Lehigh returns All-Patriot League Second Team honoree Lexi Martins (14.0 ppg., 11.1 rpg.), Third Team selection Kerry Kinek (11.5 ppg., 7.6 rpg.) and All-Rookie Team honoree Quinci Mann, who averaged 8.0 points per game last year, including a season-high 16 in her collegiate debut at the MAC. Elizabeth Sharlow (5.9 ppg., 3.7 rpg.) and Amina Affini (3.5 ppg., 2.3 rpg.) also return after starting double-digit games a year ago.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. LEHIGH
Monmouth is 6-2 all-time against Lehigh, including a 2-1 mark under Coach Palmateer. The first two meetings came in the Thanksgiving Challenge in 2011-12 and 2012-13. The win against Lehigh on Nov. 25, 2011, represented Coach Palmateer's first victory as a collegiate head coach. Monmouth won the first three meetings in the all-time series in 1994, 1995 and 1997, and three consecutive meetings in 2006, 2011 and 2012. Lehigh's wins came in November 2005 and the season opener last year.
