The Monmouth University women's basketball team returns to non-conference action Wednesday morning when it travels to Cincinnati, Ohio, to take on Xavier. The Hawks are coming off a 75-74 double-overtime victory over defending MAAC Regular Season Co-Champion Iona on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Musketeers have lost two straight at St. John's and Middle Tennessee.   

SCOUTING THE XAVIER MUSKETEERS
Xavier is led by Briana Glover at 12.5 points per game. Raeshaun Gaffney has also added 9.5 points per game, while Maleeka Kynard has chipped in with 8.1 points per game. Kindell Fincher has contributed 7.6 points and a team-high 1.8 steals per game, while Leah Schaefer has added 7.5 points and a team-best 5.3 rebounds per game.

Monmouth and Xavier have never met on the hardwood. Wednesday's match-up will be the first in the all-time series.

Jenny Horvatinovic scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Jasmine Walker hit the game-winning free throw as the Hawks outlasted Iona, 75-74, in double overtime Sunday afternoon at the MAC. Christina Mitchell added a double-double of a career-high 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Helena Kurt chipped in with 11 points and five assists.
