JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Monmouth University's
women's tennis team fell to 0-2 on the young season with a 6-1 loss to Saint
Peter's.
Junior Dana Ferrari (Saddle Brook, N.J./Immaculate Heart) won her singles match
for the second straight contest, downing Peahen Ginnea Enoh by a score of 6-3,
6-3. Sophomore Brooke Verdiglione
(Englishtown, N.J./St. John Vianney) had close first set going, falling 6-4 to
Adina Halagia at the No. 2 singles spot but eventually fell in the second 6-0.
The Hawks lost all three doubles sets, two of which by a score of 8-4.
Monmouth heads down to The Bill and Sandra Moore Invitational this weekend,
hosted on the United States Naval Academy's campus in Annapolis, Md.
