Monmouth University's women's tennis squad dropped a 7-0 match to Fairleigh
Dickinson on Tuesday afternoon at the MU Tennis Courts.
The freshman duo of Sarah Turner (Alexandria, Va./Thomas Edison) and Liz D'Arcy
(Colonia, N.J./Wardlaw-Hartridge) played an 8-2 match at the No. 3 doubles spot
against Dragons Alex Bell and Avsenil Orhon.
Drexel won all three doubles matches and took all six singles spots to
cruise to the 7-0 victory. Turner also
played No. 6 singles where she fell 6-1, 6-2 to Orhon. D'arcy fell 6-0, 6-1 to Bell at the No. 5
spot.
Monmouth will look for its first win of
the season next week with a match against NEC foe Wagner.
