Monmouth University's women's tennis squad dropped a 7-0 match to Fairleigh
Dickinson on Tuesday afternoon at the MU Tennis Courts.
Freshman Ashley Sandler (Jericho, N.Y./Syosset) forced a third set by coming
back from a 6-4 first set loss to take the second set by the same score at the
No. 3 spot against Irinia Dementyeva.
Sophomore Brooke Verdiglione (Englishtown, N.J./St. John Vianney) Also
had a close match at the No. 2 spot, falling 6-2, 6-4 to Julia Prantl.
The Knights also won all three doubles matches to earn the team point.
Next up for the Hawks will be a match this weekend against Drexel on Saturday.
