MEN'S BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES CAMPBELL SUSPENSION

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Monmouth University head men's basketball coach Dave Calloway has announced that junior guard Will Campbell has been suspended for Friday night's game versus Lehigh.

"We are very disappointed in Will's lack of academic performance," stated Calloway. "I believe this is part of the learning process for him and we will see a turnaround in his commitment as a student here at Monmouth University."

Campbell's suspension is a one-game suspension, which he will serve on Friday night, when the Hawks host defending Patriot League Champion, Lehigh University at 7:00 p.m., in the Multipurpose Activity Center.

Campbell, a 2009 Northeast Conference All-Rookie selection, has played in 60 career games for the Hawks, and returned this year as the program's leading scorer. The Willingboro-native entered the season averaging 10.1 points per game during his career, and notched a team-best nine points in the season-opener against Stony Brook.
