University's women's tennis team fell to 3-4 overall and 0-3 in Northeast
Conference play with a 5-2 loss against Bryant on Saturday afternoon.
A pair of freshmen scored wins for the Hawks, as Nicole Lipens (West Long
Branch, N.J./Shore Regional) iced Katie Francazio 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 2
spot. Dana Ferrari (Saddlebrook,
N.J./Immaculate Heart Acaedmy) continued her impressive rookie season, earning
a 6-3, 6-0 win over Dana Tausek.
Bryant swept all three of the doubles matches and won the first, third, fifth
and sixth singles flights to lock in the victory.
Monmouth is back in action tomorrow when they face Rhode Island at 11 a.m.
