WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. ? Monmouth University head women's basketball coach Stephanie V. Gaitley has announced the hiring of Anita Jennings as the Director of Women's Basketball Operations. Jennings, who comes to Monmouth after spending the past year as an assistant coach at Hollidaysburg Sr. High School in Hollidaysburg, Pa., is a former player under Gaitley from her days at St. Joseph's in Philadelphia.

“We are excited about Anita joining the staff because she brings a winning attitude with her,” says Gaitley. “She was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams, including a team that led the country in defense. Between her personality and her defensive expertise, she was a natural fit here for us.”

A Saint Joseph alumnus, Jennings lettered for the Hawks from 1991-1995. As a Hawk, she helped lead the team into the NCAA tournament in 1994 and in 1995. She was also the senior team captain in 1995 as well as being named the team's “Unsung Hero”.
