JERSEY CITY, N.J. ? The Monmouth University women's tennis team fell to Saint Peter's 6-1 on Sunday afternoon in Jersey City, N.J. The loss drops the Hawks to 0-1 on the young season.
MU's point was earned by Kelly Friedrich, who won a straight set 6-4, 6-4 decision over Saint Peter's Kristen Realista. Kaitlin Gallagher (North Haledon, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) teamed with Sarah Ragan (Lanoka Harbor, N.J./Lacey) at first doubles for a 9-7 win as well, but the Peahens swept the other two doubles matches to earn the point.
The Hawks return to action on Thursday, September 20 when they travel to Rider for a 3:00 p.m. match with the Broncs.
