The Monmouth University women's tennis team concluded their 2007 fall season this week by falling at Princeton 7-0 on Monday and at Drexel 4-3 on Tuesday. The Hawks concluded their fall by going 3-8.
Against Drexel, Monmouth got three points from their top singles players, led by Kaitlin Gallagher (North Haledon, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) at first singles, who won 6-1, 6-2 over Emily Lewis. Sarah Ragan (Lanoka Harbor, N.J./Lacey) was a 6-3, 6-2 winner over Melissa Lewis at second singles, and Katherine Tierney (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) won 6-2, 6-2 at third singles over Hana Stecova.
The Hawks and Dragons were knotted at 3-3, but Drexel swept the doubles point and took the win.
