The Hawks competed at the NYC Gotham Cup at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York and the Ramapo College Invitational at the 168
th Street Armory in New York, New York on Friday night. At Ocean Breeze, Monmouth excelled in the field events while a number of Hawks recorded personal bests at the Ramapo College Invitational.

NYC Gotham Cup
- Allison Taub placed 2nd in the shot put with a mark of 14.07 meters (46'2") and qualified for the ECACÂ Championships.
- Domoah Kutu-Akoi won the long jump at 5.58 meters and finished 2nd in the 60 meter dash in the 60-meter dash.
- Amber Stratz won the 1000-meter and qualified for the ECACs by finishing in 2:55.38, while freshman teammate Amanda Dwyer finished 4th in 2:58.84.
- Kennisha Okereke and Alicia Hester finished in 2nd and 3rd in the weight throw with matching throws of 16.70 meters.
- Ashley McKinnon finished 2nd in the triple jump with an 11.51-meter (37'9") effort.
- The 4x800 relay team of Kyra Velock, Allie Wilson, Brianna Stratz, and Chandi Piiru won the event and qualified for the ECAC Championships, running 8:56.69.
- The distance medley relay team of Dayna Luma, Amanda Dwyer, Alyssa Repsher and Rebecca Ley finished 2nd.
- For the men, Bryan Sosoo won the 60-meter dash in 6.83 seconds.
- The 4x400 meter relay team of Tim Jacoutot, Dylan Capwell, Chris Marco, and Malcolm Chavis finished 2nd with an IC4A qualifying time of 3:17.76.
- Marco won the 1000-meter run and qualified for his 3rd event at the IC4As by finishing in 2:25.26. Teammate Ryan Rafferty finished 4th in 2:28.46.
- Tim Wilson won the weight throw with a mark of 19.71 meters.
- Brandon Davis won the shot put with a toss of 15.69 meters.
- Bryan Cabral finished 4th and qualified for the IC4A Championships with a time of 1:54.39.
- Junior Greg Stickle finished 3rd in the long jump at 6.75 meters, and took 5th in the 400 with a 49.47 seconds.
- Freshman Tim Euler finished in the mile in 4:18.31.
RAMAPO COLLEGE INVITATIONAL
- Andrew Tummino and Andrew Huisman went 1-2 in the shot put, throwing 16.35 meters (53'9.75") and 15.41 meters (50'6.75"). Tummino also came back to finish 3rd in the weight throw.
- Jake Howell finished 3rd in the 1000-meter run with a time of 2:33.
- Pete Guerriero placed 3rd in the 60-meter dash finishing in 7.07 seconds.
- Mike Pepper finished 3rd in the long jump at 6.78 meters.
- Dan Maida finished the 3000-meter run in 9:05 to take 3rd.
- Henry Sappey ran a personal best 15:16 in the 5K run to finish 2nd.
- Matt Farrell finished 5th in the mile with a best of 4:24.74.
- For the women, Megan Lindstrom placed 3rd in the 5K run by finishing in a personal best of 19:20.
- Megan Gambuti and Savanna Sachar tied for 3rd in the pole vault at a height of 3.05 meters.
- Emily Schroepfer finished 3rd in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.01 seconds.
- Mariah Hubbard placed 3rd in the triple jump with a leap of 11.33 meters.
- Chloe Angelini took 3rd in the high jump by clearing 1.60 meters.
NEXT UP
- The Hawks will return home to host the Monmouth Winter Collegiate Invitational Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27. Some Hawks will travel to the Penn State National Invitational next weekend as well.
