Schmidt begins her first season on staff for the Hawks Field Hockey program entering the 2026 season.
Schmidt spent a season on staff for Saint Louis University field hockey as an assistant coach, assisting with all tactical preparations, practice planning and execution, along with scouting, film sessions and individual group training sessions among other responsibilities. During her time at Saint Louis University, she also served as the head/assistant coach at Gateway Field Hockey beginning in 2017.
Prior to Saint Louis University, Schmidt spent one season as the Academic and Athletic Support Assistant from 2023-24 at her alma mater Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a four-year starter for the Knights field hockey program and was named as a two-time NFHCA National Academic Squad, NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and Academic All-MAC selection while captaining Bellarmine for four years.
Schmidt earned her bachelor’s degree in clinical and counseling psychology with a minor in Nutrition at Bellarmine in 2022 before earning her master’s degree in digital media at Bellarmine in 2024.
