Azzinaro begins his first season on the Hawks coaching staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Azzinaro previously was the assistant coach and offensive coordinator for Fordham’s women’s basketball program from 2024 to 2026 after spending two years (2022-24) on staff as an assistant for Rider Women’s Basketball.
He additionally spent a season as the Binghamton Women’s Basketball program’s video coordinator and two years as the Director of Scouting and Player Personnel/Video Coordinator for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky from 2019 to 2021. He also had coaching stops with NBA Basketball Without Boarders (2020) and the NBA G-League Iowa Wolves (2017-18).
Azzinaro starred on Bucknell University’s men’s basketball program from 2013-2017 and was a member of the Bisons NCAA Tournament team in 2017.
Newman earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bucknell University in 2017.
