Assistant coach Erin Riordan enters her second season working with Monmouth’s midfielders and attackers.

In 2006 Riordan guided the MU offensive unit to a league-best 11.9 goals per game, while senior attacker Jeanette Stott earned Tournament MVP and NEC Player of the Year. Riordan also had four athletes named to All-NEC squads, including three first-team members.

Riordan joined the Hawks staff after a stellar playing career at Johns Hopkins University. She guided the Blue Jays to NCAA Tournament appearances during all four seasons of her playing career. During her senior campaign, she played in all 17 games on attack, finishing with 16 points accumulating from nine goals and seven assists. Riordan ended her playing career with a total of 28 assists which lands her in the top ten in the Hopkins record books.

She was named to the IWLCA National Honor Roll for her senior year, which honors student-athletes who achieved junior or senior standing academically and earned a GPA of at least 3.2 for the 2005 spring semester.

Riordan brings coaching experience to the Hawks staff as she assisted with the Little Jays Lacrosse League and various Lacrosse camps around the Baltimore Area throughout her four year career at Johns Hopkins.

The Brightwaters, N.Y., native is the daughter of John and Sharon Riordan. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in sociology, with a concentration in psychology.
