Craig Shatkus joins the Monmouth University men's soccer staff for the 2005 season as an assistant coach, focusing on the goalkeepers in the Blue and White.

Shatkus joins the staff after serving as the boy's varsity head coach at Raritan High School for the last four years. He also has experience as the men's and women's goalkeeper coach at Cornell University (1999-2000), while also assisting at Freehold Township High School from 1996-1998 and Brick Memorial (1994).

Shatkus also served as the team trainer and goalkeeper coach at Major League Soccer Camps in 1997 and 1998.

A veteran in the coaching world, Shatkus enjoyed a fruitful playing career, which included two seasons at Mercer County Community College and two more at The College of New Jersey. He also guarded the nets for the New Jersey Stallions of the USISL in 1998 and 1999, while also playing for the Brooklyn Knights in 1999.

A veteran of the camp circuit as well, Shatkus has worked the Make the Save Academy, Upper Ninety Soccer School, Cornell University Soccer Camps, New Jersey Stallions Professional Soccer Camps, Bob Reasso Soccer School, SoccerPlus Goalkeepers Academy, Mercer County College Soccer Camps and Last Line Goalkeepers Club since 1992.

Shatkus, an English teacher at Raritan High School, currently resides in Sea Girt, New Jersey and holds a bachelor's degree in English/secondary education from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College).
