Craig Van Leeuwen joined the Monmouth University Track & Field Program as an Assistant Coach in November of 2019
Van Leeuwen comes from Kutztown, PA where he was an Instructor for the Skyjumpers Summer Pole Vault Camp since 2010. Prior to that, he was a Pole Vault Coach for Don Bosco High School for their Track & Field Program.
Van Leeuwen was a NCAA Indoor National Champion and a three-time All-American at Ramapo College of New Jersey. The 2012 graduate also earned four NJAC Conference Championships, was an ECAC Pole Vault Champion, and was an ECAC Qualifier in the 4x100 relay team.
Prior to Ramapo, Van Leeuwen was member of the Cuesta College relay team where he was coached by 1972 Olympic Bronze Medalist Jan Johnson. While in San Luis Obispo, CA, Van Leeuwen was an All-State Selection and a SoCal Conference Champion.
Van Leeuwen resides in Wayne, NJ with his wife, Linda, and his daughter, Julia.
