Meg Douty will join as the program's Defensive Coordinator and brings a wealth of experience at the highest levels to the Monmouth program.
In 2026, Douty helped bolster the Hawks’ defense in multiple ways. Monmouth was third in the CAA in turnovers caused per game with 8.76. She also worked with goalie Katie Sullivan and contributed to her outstanding season where she led the CAA in save percentage and saves per game. Katie Sullivan also earned All-CAA First Team and CAA Goalkeeper of the Year honors in 2026.
A two-time NCAA Champion and graduate of the University of Maryland, Douty won a pair of gold medals with Team USA at the World Cup Championships in 2017 and 2022. She was named to the All-World Team in 2017 and won a gold medal at the 2017 World Games. In addition to winning national championships as a defender at Maryland in 2014 and 2015, she helped lead the Terrapins to three ACC Championships. Douty was named IWLCA Defender of the Year in 2014 and 2015, was a two-time Conference Defensive Player of the Year and a Tewaaraton finalist in 2014. Douty has played professionally since the inception of professional women's lacrosse and earned recognition as Inside Lacrosse's Defender of the decade from 2010-2020.
A native of Fair Haven, NJ, Douty graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in 2011 where she starred as a three-time First Team All-Shore Conference selection.
