A former defensive standout for the Hawks, Erica Kauffman is in her third season as an assistant coach at Monmouth. Kauffman will assist with the Hawks' defensive and goalie operations.

A four-year letterwinner in West Long Branch, Kauffman twice earned All-Northeast Conference accolades. As a senior, Kauffman was tabbed a Jewish All-America by the Jewish Sports Review. She ended her career with 17 goals and four assists.

Kauffman served as a defensive stalwart on the Hawks' 2001 Northeast Conference team, which earned the school's first-ever berth in the NCAA Tournament. The team ranked sixth in the nation with a 7.18 goals against average at season's end.

Kauffman was a standout at Rancocas Valley High School where she earned All-Burlington County and All-South Jersey honors. She also lettered in soccer and was named to the All-Burlington County and All-State teams two times each.

A native of Mount Holly, N.J., Kauffman earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Monmouth in 2001. In December of 2004 she received her M.A.T in elementary education from Monmouth.
