Felicia Burroughs enters her third season with the Hawks' after being named assistant women’s basketball coach at Monmouth on May 6, 2005. Burroughs, who was a four-year player at Northeastern University, comes to Monmouth after a four-year stint as an assistant coach at Towson University.

Burroughs’ responsibilites with the Hawks include recruiting coordinator, scouting and practice planning.  In addition she oversees travel arrangements and volunteer activities.

Burroughs, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, played in the Huskies’ backcourt for four seasons, serving as team captain during her junior and senior seasons. A member of the America East Academic Honor Roll, Burroughs helped lead Northeastern to its first America East championship in 1999 with a 22-8 record, and its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

Prior to her appointment at Towson, Burroughs spent her final season at Northeastern as a student assistant coach. She also served as an assistant coach at Woodlawn High School in Baltimore County. A graduate of Western High School in Baltimore, she played for one of the top girls basketball programs in the country. A four-year varsity starter, Burroughs was a member of Western’s undefeated state championship team in 1994-95, as Western was ranked among the top-ten high school teams in the nation during her junior and senior seasons.
