Former Monmouth standout Lee Simonetti begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Hawks. Simonetti was a two-time All-Northeast Conference First Team selection at second base in West Long Branch, helping lead MU to a pair of appearances in the NEC Tournament in her four seasons, while starting all 176 games she played in.

As a senior in 2009, Simonetti batted .298, helping lead the team to a league tournament win over top-seeded Long Island. As a sophomore in 2007, she ranked fourth in the NEC in runs scored (41) and plate appearances (198) and third in the conference in at-bats (169). In her first campaign, she ranked fourth on the squad in batting average with a .288 average and led the team with seven sacrifice bunts.

The Poughkeepsie, N.Y. native went to Poughkeepsie High School and power Our Lady of Lourdes.
