Currently one of the top distance runners in the Northeast Conference? Solid at any distance from 1500 to 10000?Owner of three school records in track and two in cross country.
2004 Outdoor: Set Hawks? school mark in the 5000 (14:12.67) when he placed fourth and earned All-East honors at the IC4A Championships? Recorded second-place finishes in the 5000 (14:49.25) and 10000 (31:53.62) at the NEC Championships? Also placed sixth in the 1,500 (3:59.62)? Was 15th in the 5000 at the NCAA Regional Championships.
2004 Indoor: Registered fourth-place finishes in the 3000 and 5000 at the NEC Indoor Championships?Finished ninth at the IC4A Championships in the 5000 in 14:29.38, breaking his own school record.
2003 [Cross Country]: Earned All-Northeast Conference honors with a 4th place finish at the NEC Championships? Helped Monmouth to a fourth place team finish with a time of 26:25? Won the Monmouth Invitational in a time of 26:27
2003 [Outdoor]: Hawks leading scorer among distant runners, tallying 13 points? Finished 2nd in the 10 Kilometer race and fourth in the 5000 with a time of 14:58? Placed eighth in the 1500 at the Lehigh Games in a time of 4:06
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four letters each in track and field and cross country... Owns the Central Jersey Group 4 state record in 3200... Earned All-Shore Conference and all-county on four occasions... Also selected all-state twice... Earned seven Freehold District titles in track and field.
PERSONAL: Born Nick J. Pellegrino on December 25, 1981 in New Jersey... Majoring in history and education... Son of Anthony and Connie Pellegrino.
