High School: Competed at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, Iowa... Guided squad to three Iowa State Championships in cross country (2007 and 2008) and track and field (2008)... Earned first team all-conference in 2011... Holds the school record in 4x400m relay... Took the 2009 4x800m relay Drake Relay title.

Personal: Son of Tom and LeAnn Sokolik... Majoring in biology.
