Monmouth University Athletics

Senior (2011-12): Paired with Francis Jedlinski to earn All-NEC Second Team honors at No. 2 doubles… Battled through injury to win six singles matches, including a key straight-sets victory over Quinnipiac’s Garrett Lane in the NEC Tournament Semifinals… Defeated opponents from Rider, Villanova and The College of New Jersey in the fall, before earning victories over Rider’s Drew Laverty, Queens’ Nikolaj Wulff and Lane… Posted a 13-10 record in doubles, including a 7-6 record with Jedlinski… Went 5-1 in dual matches with Sherwood, including a 4-1 mark at No. 2 and a victory at top doubles.

Junior (2010-11): Won four singles matches and 10 doubles matches on the year, playing every match at the top flight… Paired with Ian Terpilowski to post a 9-7 mark at top doubles in dual matches… Earned singles wins over competition from Saint Joseph’s, Hofstra, Fairfield and Robert Morris.

Sophomore (2009-10): Went 7-8 out of the No. 1 singles flight in dual matches… Also posted nine doubles victories, eight coming at the top flight… Recorded singles victories over competition from Queens, St. Francis (N.Y.), Saint Joseph’s, Valparaiso, Hofstra, Villanova and Mount St. Mary’s on the season.

2008-09 (Freshman): Enjoyed one of the most successful first years by any men's tennis player in MU program history earning NEC Rookie of the Year honors in 2009... Named to All-NEC first-team in fourth singles and second-team in second doubles... Earned nomination for Athlete of the Year at MU and team MVP... Led team in singles with 16-4 record, including a flawless 7-0 record in conference... Was 6-1 at third singles and 8-3 at fourth singles... Had most doubles wins for Hawks with eight (8-4 overall) in second doubles.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Repton in Derby, England.

Personal: Son of Mike and Linda Heads... Born November 11th, 1989... Majoring in Business.
