Before Monmouth: Attended Ocean Township High School... Monmouth County's boys swimmer of the year... Won The Star Ledger's top swimming performer of the week... Swam a 2:13.76 in the 200 freestyle,  a 4:31.53 in the 500 freestyle, a 51.47 in the 100 backstroke, a 2:01.81 in 200 IM, a 51.56 in 100 butterfly, and a 22.93 in the 50 freestyle
