2018: Did not see any game action for the Hawks as a freshman.

Before Monmouth: Four-year letterwinner in lacrosse at Lake Travis High School … earned First Team All-State honors as a junior and senior …  named Second Team All-State as a sophomore and Second Team All-State as a freshman … scored 50 goals as a senior and 56 during his junior campaign … served as team captain as a senior and helped Lake Travis to a 15-4 record … participated in the 2016 Fall Inside Lacrosse Recruiting Invitational.

Personal: Son of Carl and Chris Essex … plans to major in History and Anthropology.
