Marc Zolchonock

Marc Zolchonock joined the Monmouth men's lacrosse coaching staff in the Fall of 2017 after a stint at Rutgers, where he served as the Director of Lacrosse Operations for the previous two years.

In 2018, Zolchonock's first with the program, Monmouth had four players earn All-MAAC First Team honors (Bryce Wasserman, Dylan Schulte, Garrett Pfeifer and Noah Lode). Wasserman closed his standout career with program records in goals (99), assists (50) and points (149) and also became the first Monmouth player to be chosen in the annual Major League Lacrosse Draft when he was selected by the Denver Outlaws in the seventh round. Wasserman again made history when he became the first Hawk to play in an MLL game, when he suited up for the Ohio Machine on July 21, 2018. 

The Hawks continued to be a force defensively in 2018 as they led the country in clearing percentage (.936), ranked 16th in the NCAA in scoring defense (9.00) and rookie goalie Noah Lode was 17th in goals-against average (8.93).

In his role with the Scarlet Knights, Zolchonock’s specific responsibilities included oversight of tournament and camps, coordinating road trips and working with the Rutgers equipment staff, in addition to other day-to-day operations for the program.

As a student-athlete, Zolchonock was a four-year letterwinner in lacrosse at Kean University. Zolchonock excelled as defenseman for the Cougars as he totaled 77 ground balls and forced 39 turnovers in his career. He led the team in caused turnovers his senior season and was a winner of the Student Scholar Athlete Award in 2013 and 2014. Zolchonock graduated from Kean with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing in 2015 after serving as a student assistant coach following his playing career.

A native of Livingston, NJ, Zolchonock has held the position of Sales Representative at Fourteen Graphics, an athletic apparel company, where he has worked with clients in the Mid-Atlantic region since 2015. 

Zolchonock resides in Manasquan, NJ.
