Lewis Vaccaro

Lewis Vaccaro joined the Monmouth men's lacrosse coaching staff in August of 2019 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Monmouth's shortened 2020 campaign saw 17 student-athletes named to the 2020 MAAC Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, the second most in program history.

A graduate of Canisius College, who earned his undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Sport Administration, Vaccaro was a four-year letterwinner with the Griffs. He was named to the 2014 MAAC All-Rookie Team, was a two-year team captain and a three-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. As a graduate assistant for the 2017-18 school year, Vaccaro served as Canisius’ Director of Lacrosse Operations.

During his time in Buffalo, Vaccaro worked for Buffalo Lacrosse Academy as a head coach and intern where he worked camps and clinics and coached the youth program during the summer months. Most recently, Vaccaro was an assistant coach at Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington, IL, where he mentored the top scoring offense in the country (19.39 goals per game). The team posted a 16-2 record, including a 6-0 conference mark, it’s best season in program history.
