Biography

2011 Northeast Conference All-Rookie Team selection... Red-shirted his freshman season due to a foot injury suffered in preseason and re-injured during year.

2011-12 (Junior): Missed first eight games of the season recovering from offseason knee surgery... Appeared in 24 games, earning seven starts... Averaged 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, while connecting on 55-of-130 from the floor (.423)... Went 44-for-64 (.688) from the free throw line... Added 23 steals, 19 assists and six blocks... Made first appearance of the season in a win at Navy (12/6), notching three points, two rebounds and an assist in 12 minutes of action... Recorded four points, two blocks and two steals against Fordham (12/10)... Hit 3-for-3 from the field for eight points and pair of steals at Rutgers (12/12)... Added eight points and five boards against Rider (12/22)... Registered six points and three rebounds at North Carolina (1/1)... Hit 7-of-10 from the floor for a season-high 15 points against Mount St. Mary's (1/5)... Notched seven boards and three steals versus Wagner (1/7)... Recorded 14 points and seven rebounds against Harvard (1/10)... Connected on 4-of-6 FG at LIU Brooklyn (1/14) for eight points... Hauled in six rebounds each in conecutive games against Saint Francis (1/19) and Robert Morris (1/21)... 2010-11 (Sophomore): Played in 29 games for the Hawks, earning 13 starts... Named to the 2011 Northeast Conference All-Rookie Team after averaging 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game... Scored in double-figures in 11 games... Added five points and seven rebounds at CCSU (11/27)... Pulled down six rebounds at Davidson (11/29)... Chipped in five points and six rebounds in nine minutes in comeback win over Hartford (12/11)... Notched 10 points and six caroms versus Sacred Heart (1/8)... Added 10 points and five boards at Saint Francis [Pa.] (1/13)... Earned first career start at Robert Morris (1/15), notching 10 points, five rebounds and three assists... Hit 5-of-8 from the field, including 8-of-10 from the foul line, for 18 points in road win at Bryant (1/22)... Connected on 7-of-10 field goal attempts for 18 points and seven rebounds versus St. Francis [N.Y.] (1/27)... Registered 20 points and six boards in home loss to Long Island (1/29)... Added 11 points, six rebounds and three steals at Mount St. Mary's (2/3)... Hit for 20 points and hauled in seven boards at Wagner (2/5)... 2009-10 (Freshman): Played in two games for the Hawks as a freshman... After missing first eight games with a foot injury, made his collegiate debut and collected a rebound at Rutgers (12/9)... Scored two points at Princeton (12/16).

BEFORE MONMOUTH: Four-year letterwinner at Vineland High School as a forward... Averaged 21.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per game throughout his career... Named the Daily Journal Basketball Player of the Year... Named first-team All-Cape following his junior and senior seasons... Led team to a 22-11 record and a second place division finish as a senior... Played in the state North/South Game, as well as the Al Carino All-Star Game.

PERSONAL: Born Marcus S. Ware on May 26, 1991 in Vineland, N.J... Son of Joseph Ware and Tasha Ware... Majoring in health studies.
