2013 (Junior): Appeared in all 12 games at running back... Ran for a career-high 1,080 yards on 180 carries... His 1,080 yards were the sixth most in school history for a single season... Led the Hawks with an impressive 6.0 yards per carry... Finished with six 100+ yard games, including four consecutive... Finished with a team-high eight rushing touchdowns... Had a career-high 27 carries for 129 yards against Duquesne (11/23)... Ran for a career-best 176 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries in win over Cornell (10/19)... Registered first 100 yard game of his career with seven carries for 103 yards and a TD against Lehigh (9/14)... Had 15 carries for103 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Robert Morris (10/5)... That included a season-long 55 yard run against the Colonials... Racked up 118 yards against Holy Cross (9/21) and 132 yards against Columbia (9/28), both wins... Also had nine receptions for 42 yards.
2012 (Sophomore): Appeared in all ten games at running back, starting two… Was the only Hawk to have a rushing attempt and catch a pass in every game… Finished the season rushing for 4.8 yards per carry… Second on the Hawks with 469 yards rushing on 97 carries… Started season with a 94 yard performance at Lehigh (9/1)… Followed that up with 64 yards rushing and 23 more through the air against Rhode Island (9/8)… Notched first career touchdown in victory at Wagner (9/15)… Combined for 116 total yards against Bryant (10/20)… Scored touchdowns in three straight games, in home games against Bryant and St. Francis with a road win at Duquesne in between.
2011 (Freshman): A key special teams contributer for the Hawks, appearing in all 11 games... finished with 16 tackles, including nine solo stops... Had a pair of tackles and a forced fumble, which led to a touchdown against Robert Morris (10/1)... Had a career-high four tackles in a win over Saint Francis (11/4).
Before Monmouth: Redshirted his freshman year at West Virginia University.
High School: Played running back under coach Tony Nazzoro at James Hubert Blake High School... Rushed for 2,711 yards and compiled 200 recieving yards in two seasons... Named all-league, all-state and all-met.
Personal: Son of Frank Asante and Abigail Akonnor... Major is business administration.
