Dempsey was promoted to an assistant coach prior to the 2025-26 season after serving as a volunteer assistant in 2023-24 and 2024-25. Dempsey spent the prior two seasons as a student manager with King Rice's program, assisting with all day-to-day aspects of the program. He is a 2023 graduate of Monmouth.
