Biography

QUICKLY: Strong post player... Had to sit out 2002-2003 season due to NCAA rules regarding Division I transfers... Eligible to appear in fall semester... Expected to start at center, replacing Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Year Kevin Owens... Appealing for medical sixth year.

2002-03 (Senior - Redshirt): Sat out 2002-2003 season due to NCAA rules regarding Division I transfers... Was eligible to practice with the squad.

2001-02 (Junior - Appalachian State): Played 15 games as a junior at Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C... Averaged 4.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game... Paced squad with .556 (30-of-54) field-goal percentage... Tallied career-high seven rebounds in addition to six points in ASU's loss to Texas Christian (12/20)... Logged career-high 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field in win over North Greenville (12/13)... Began season with 10-point, four-rebound effort in 1-point loss to Richmond (11/16).

2000-01 (Sophomore - Appalachian State): Played in 25 games as a sophomore for the Mountaineers... Averaged 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game... Hit .506 (38-of-75) of his shots from the field... Booked season-high 10 points and seven rebounds in loss to East Tennessee State (1/27)... Logged eight points and three blocks in win over Bethel (12/18)... Led ASU with eight points and five rebounds in loss to Purdue (12/2).

1999-2000 (Freshman - Appalachian State): Played in three games as a freshman before suffering a season-ending injury... Averaged 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds per game.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year letterwinner at North Durham (N.C.) High School... Played center for head coach Craig Torrey... Led squad in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots as a senior... Averaged 15.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game in final season... Tabbed team MVP and all-conference as a senior... Ranked as the No. 2 post player and No. 13 prep player in North Carolina as a senior.
