2012 (Sophomore): Missed his sophomore season due to illness.

2011 (Freshman): Did not see time as a true freshman.

High School: Played offensive and defensive line under Coach John Finnegan at Seton Hall Prep High School... Earned All-Super Essex Conference honors and All-Essex County honors... Selected to play in the East vs West All-Star Game... Help lead the Pirates to a 11-1 record and a conference and county championship as a senior... Seton Hall Prep finished 10-2 with a county and conference championship in 2009.

Personal: Majoring in health studies and physical education... Son of Mike and Alice Ruiz.
