Before Monmouth: Redshirted his freshman season at James Madison University... Did not see action as a sophomore.

High School: Played football locally at Ocean Township High School under coach Sal Spampanato... Helped the Spartans to a 9-3 record and a Central Jersey Group III State Championship as a senior... Selected to play in the NY-NJ Governors Bowl All Star game in 2005... Was an two-time All-Monmouth County selection... Rivals.com top-50 player and No. 3 quarterback in New Jersey coming out of his senior year... Accounting for 1,080 yards and 15 total touchdowns as a senior... Amassed over 2,250 yards and 30 touchdowns over his sophmore and junior seasons.
