Biography

2011 (Senior): Started all 11 games as a senior on the defensive line... Earned First Team All-Northeast Conference honors... Led the NEC in sacks with 9.0 and was third in the league in tackles for a loss with 13.5... His nine sacks were the most for a Monmouth player since the 2003 season... Had career highs in tackles (26), sacks (9), TFLs (13.5), forced fumbles (3) and fumble recoveries (2)... Recorded a career-high eight tackles, including three sacks and 5.5 TFLs against Wagner (11/19)... Had seven tackles, including 1.5 sacks against Robert Morris (10/1)... Recorded two sacks and three tackles for a loss in MU's win over Villanova (9/17).

2010 (Junior): Appeared in 10 games as a junior... Had eight tackles, including five solo stops... Finished with four QB hurries... Registered two tackles against CCSU (11/13) and Albany (11/20).

Before Monmouth:
Played linebacker for two seasons under coach Corey Bailey... Started all 11 games at inside linebacker, leading the team in tackles as a true sophomore... Earned All-MEAC Honorable Mention after recording 71 tackles, which was seventh in the conference... Recorded a sack and a fumble recovery in 2009... Appeared in 10 games as a true freshman, recording 15 tackles.

High School: Played four years of football under coach Todd Smith at West Windsor-Plainsboro South High School... Helped the Pirates to a 10-2 record and their first appearance in a state title game as a senior in 2008... Selected to Top-100 N.J. players while earning First Team All-Colonial Valley Conference, Second Team All Area and Third Team All-State honors as a senior... Recorded 85 tackles as a senior, while leading the CVC in sacks... West Windsor-Plainsboro South only lost five games while Simon played there... Garnered Top Defensive Player honors in the Sunshine Football Classic... Also selected to play in the North-South All-Star game... Had 20 tackles, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two sacks in NJ State semifinal win over Sayreville.

Personal: Son of Josette Rice-Simon... Younger sister, Erin A.Simon is a forward on the women's soccer team at the University of Kentucky... Majoring in heath and physical education.
