Monmouth University Athletics

2013 (Junior): Appeared in five games as a junior before suffering a season-ending injury... Finished with six tackles, three of which were for losses... Had 2.5 sacks in wins over Holy Cross (9/21), Columbia (9/28) and Robert Morris (10/05)... Regisered two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup on the season.

2012 (Sophomore): Appeared in all ten games on the defensive line, earning one start… Placed second on the team in both tackles for loss with 6.5 and sacks with 4.5… Tallied a sack and a forced fumble at Wagner (9/15)… Picked up two more sacks the following week in a win over Sacred Heart (9/22)… Closed out the season with three tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a half sack in a victory at Robert Morris (11/17).

2011 (Freshman): Played in every game as a true freshman... Registered 17 tackles, including 14 solo stops... Was third on the team in TFLs with 7.5, including two sacks... Had a career-day against Sacred Heart (10/22), finishing with five tackles, three for a loss and two sacks- which earned him NEC Rookie of the Week... Had a pair of tackles for a loss against Duquesne (10/29).

Before Monmouth: Played defensive line at Navy Prep.

High School: Played linebacker and fullback under coach Bob Forgrave at Hempfield High School... Was a three-time First Team All-Lancaster Lebanon League selection.

Personal: Born on Aug. 24, 1990... Son of Mark and Joyce Macik... major is health studies.
