Biography

A contender to fill one of the two linebacker spots left by the departure of All-NEC performers Mike Normand and John Schultzel.

2001 (Sophomore): Played in nine games at linebacker... Recorded 44 tackles including 26 solo takedowns... Recorded two sacks for 5 yards... Tallied five pass break-ups and three hurries... Recovered one fumble and also forced a fumble... Recorded career-high ten tackles in victory at Stony Brook... Registered eight takedowns in loss against Albany

2000 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in nine games as a redshirt freshman... Saw action as a reserve linebacker and on special teams... Ended the season with five tackles, including three solo takedowns.

1999 (Freshman): Sat out true freshman season as a redshirt.

High School: Three-year letter winner at Manchester Township (N.J.) High School... Played linebacker and running back for Coach Doug Covert... Named squads outstanding linebacker as a senior... Selected to participate in the All-Shore Classic in 1999... Also played baseball and track & field for the Hawks.

Personal: Son of Dan and Sue Barker... Born October 18, 1980... Majoring in criminal justice.
