Mike Campagna was added to the Hawks’ coaching staff in the summer of 2006. Campagna, a former team captain at the University of Virginia, joins the Blue and White following his playing career with the Cavaliers.

Campagna played in 78 games, starting 61, in his two seasons at Virginia as an infielder. He registered a .960 fielding percentage in the middle infield. Prior to Virginia, Campagna played two seasons at Kishwaukee Junior College, where he played shortstop in 2004 and third base in 2003.

A native of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Campagna earned two varsity letters at Prospect High School, where he was named an all-conference selection in 2002.

Campagna was part of two NCAA Regional teams in 2005 and 2006 with Virginia, and made two NJCAA Regional appearances with Kishwaukee in 2003 and 2004.

The former infielder will focus on the infielding corps at Monmouth and will assist with the Hawks' hitters.
