Ryan Monday coached seven seasons on the Monmouth University coaching staff. Monday coached the tight ends in four seasons (2001, 2003, 2004 and 2006) and also spent three seasons mentoring the wide receivers in 2000, 2002 and 2005.Â
Monday, a Monmouth graduate, joined the staff after spending the 1999 season at Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia. At Lassiter, Monday was the outside linebackers coach for the varsity and junior varsity squads. He was also in charge of producing the defensive scouting reports.
Monday started his coaching career at Middletown (N.J.) North High School during the 1997 and 1998 seasons. At Middletown North, Monday served as the quarterbacks coach for the varsity squad and assisted in the offensive play calling. He also acted as the defensive coach for the junior varsity team.
Monday was a four-year letter winner for MU from 1993-96. He amassed 34 tackles and three interceptions in 27 games at free safety for the Hawks.
A local product, Monday was a three-time letter winner at Middletown North. He was a standout wide receiver and defensive back for the Lions.
