Aaron Edwards, a 2002 graduate of Monmouth, is in his first year as a mentor of the Personnel and Leadership Services (PALS) program.

Edwards currently serves as a high school guidance counselor at Shore Regional High School after serving as a teacher for four years at Colts Neck High School.

In addition to his bachelor?s degree, Edwards earned a pair of master?s degrees in special education and educational counseling at Monmouth.

A four-year starter at Monmouth, Edwards earned All-Northeast Conference honors on three occasions. As a fifth-year senior, he was named a Division I-AA Mid-Major All-America by both Don Hansen?s National Football Gazette and The Sports Network, as well as being tabbed MU?s Defensive Most Valuable Player. During his junior campaign he also earned accolades as a defensive MVP and earned his second All-NEC recognition.

Edwards is Monmouth?s all-time leader in tackles with 353, including a school-record 114 takedowns during the 2001 campaign.

Edwards has prior experience with leadership programs as he successfully implemented one for athletes at Colts Neck High School during his tenure.
