BEFORE MONMOUTH: Played one season at Canarias Basketball Academy... Played basketball at Salendine Nook and Norton College in Sheffield, England... Squad went 44-4 in two seasons, with James as the strong forward... Won a national championship in 2008... Played for the Sheffield Junior Sharks, where he won a national championship and were the national cup winners... Played for the U-18 England National Team, which finished fourth in the European Championships... Averaged 17.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game during his high school career... Also earned three letters in soccer.

PERSONAL: Son of Lester James and Judy Stewart... Majoring in communications.
