Biography

Hawks’ returning starter at quarterback after earning First Team All-Conference honors in 2007... Set school record for completion percentage as a redshirt senior.

2007 (Senior): Started all 10 games at quarterback... Earned First Team All-NEC honors after leading the conference’s most productive passing attack... Set a Monmouth record for single-season completion percentage after connecting on 64.6 percent of his passes... Monmouth averaged a league high 207 passing yards per game with Burke at the helm in 2007... Threw 10 touchdowns compared to just six interceptions... Set the Monmouth player record for completions in a game (31) after going 31-of-49 against Wagner (10/13)... Finished the season with 1,967 yards on 192-of-297 passing.. Had a career-high 289 yards passing against Wagner (10/13)... Threw a career-high three touchdowns on 18-31 passing (234 yards) in win over St. Francis (11/3)... Threw for over 200 yards in three consecutive games (Wagner, CCSU, St. Francis)... Scrambled for 32 yards on one play against Albany (11/10), which is a personal best... Connected on a 58 yard touchdown pass in his first career start against Maine (9/1), which is his longest completion... His 192 pass completions ranks second all-time for a MU signal caller in a single season... 1,967 yards passing is the fifth best single season effort in school history, while is passer efficiancy rating of 127.16 is seventh all-time.

2006 (Junior): Played in all 12 games as a junior... Was the primary holder on placekicks while appearing four games at quarterback... Completed 6-of-12 passes for 56 yards.

2005 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 10 games as a sophomore, mainly as a holder on placekicks... Took snaps at quarterback in five games... Completed 8-of-12 passes for 58 yards on the season.

2004 (Freshman): Did not see action as a freshman.

High School: Two-sport standout at Wall (N.J.) High School... Led Crimson Knights to an 18-4 record as a quarterback for Coach Chris Barnes, including an 11-1 mark and state championship in 2002... Logged 2,150 passing yards and 19 TD passes during his career... Amassed over 500 rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs... Tabbed All-Liberty Division and All-Monmouth County as a junior... Also a diamond standout as an outfielder and a pitcher for Coach Todd Schmitt... Led baseball team to a Central Jersey Group III state title in 2002... Combined to bat .420 with 23 stolen bases and a 10-1 pitching record during his sophomore and junior campaigns... Earned All-Liberty Division, All-Monmouth County and All-Shore as a junior.
