Biography
2006 Outdoor: Won the 400m IH at the NEC Outdoor Championships, with a time of 1:01.82...Finished second in the 400m at the NEC Outdoor Championships with a time of 56.34, which was part of a 1-2-3 sweep by Monmouth athletes...Anchor leg of second place 4x400 relay that ran 3:47 at NECs...Anchor leg of the 4x400 relay which won their section in 3:49 at the Penn Relays to qulaify for ECACs for the 5th year in a row...Had a ninth place finish in the 400m at the UVA Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational with a time of 57.57..Had a fourth and fifth place finish at the Monmouth Season Opener in the 400m (57.72) and the 400m IH (1:05.72).
2006 Indoor: Strong showing at the NEC Indoor Championships, anchoring the 4x400 relay to a third place finishing and placing fourth in the 400-meters posting a time of 59.84... Finished eighth in the 500m at ECAC Championships to earn All-East honors.
2005 Outdoor: Won the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.36) at the Monmouth University Season Opener...Gained a total of 7.5 points at NEC Outdoor Championships with a fourth place finish in the 500-meters, and a first place finish as a member of the 4x400 relay squad.
2005 Indoor: Member of NEC Champion 4x400 relay team (3:52.95), also placed fifth in the 500-meters, totaling 6.5 points for the Hawks at NEC Championships....4x400 relay team finished 12th at ECAC Championships (3:53.00).
2004 Outdoor: Won NEC Championship in 400 hurdles (1:03.20) and 4x400 relay (3:50.16)...Placed third at ECAC Championships in 4x400 (3:42.74)...Tabbed NEC Rookie of the Week (4/6)... School record holder in 400 hurdles.
2004 Indoor: Third in 500 (1:18.39) at NEC Championships...Also a member of the victorious school record-setting 4x400 relay...Ran on ninth-place 4x400 relay at ECAC Championships.
Personal: Daughter of Barbara Simms...Competed in indoor and outdoor track for four years at Matwan (N.J.) High School...Also earned three cheerleading letters for the Huskies...Majoring in Psychology.
