2021-22: Earned team leadership award ... part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that broke the program record at the MAAC Championships (1:22.11) ... member of the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society ... named to the MAAC All-Academic Team. 

2020-21: One first-place finish in the 2020-21 season ... won the 50 free at the 2021 MAAC Spring Invitational with a personal-best time of 21.52 ... named to the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society ... named to the MAAC All-Academic Team. 

2019-20: One first-place finish in the 2019-20 season ... part of the 200-yard freestyle team that broke the program record (1:23.20) at the MAAC Championship ... named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2018-19: Seven individual first-place finishes in the 2018-19 season ... part of three relay teams that posted school-record times (200 free relay, 400 free relay, 400 medley relay) ... the 400-yard medley relay also placed third at the MAAC Championships with a time of 3:21.08 ... set the school record in the 200-yard butterfly at the MAAC Championships, finishing in 1:56.05.

Before Monmouth: Competed in the freestyle and butterfly at Cornwall Hill College … competed for the Tuks Swim Team … coached by Rocco Meiring and Linda De Jager … also competed in Rugby.

Personal: Son of Brenda Barkhuizen … majoring in Business Real Estate and Finance.
