Newark, DE – Abdi Bashir Jr. scored 20 points for the sixth time in the last seven games, but Monmouth University Men's Basketball fell on Saturday at the University of Delaware, 84-64.

Monmouth won the second half, led by eight points in the period from
Cornelius Robinson III. Delaware kept Monmouth at arms length, with
Corey Miller adding five late points for the Hawks in the defeat.

Delaware used strong three-point shooting in the first half, making eight-of-10, to build a 24-point advantage at the break. Bashir led Monmouth with 14 points, and MU was perfect from the foul line in the opening 20, going 12-for-12.
