WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Monmouth University men's tennis team ended its 2024 season with a 4-1 loss to fifth-seeded William & Mary in the quarterfinal round of the CAA Tournament on Friday afternoon at Mackesy Tennis Center.
Mateo Bivol won his singles match at No.1 (6-3, 6-4) to combat the loss of the doubles point, but the Hawks were unable to complete the comeback. The junior finished 18-7 in singles play during the 2023-24 season, including a 10-match winning streak.
Monmouth finishes the regular season with a 15-6 record, marking the third consecutive campaign with at least 15 victories. Monmouth has also posed a winning percentage above .700 in each of the past five full seasons.Â
