Monmouth Set to Host Spring Showcase and Spring Special

April 18, 2024

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ –
The Monmouth University football program will complete its annual spring season on Sunday afternoon when it hosts its 2024 Spring Showcase at Kessler Stadium.

Admission to the event is free and fans can see their first glimpse of the 2024 Hawks as they meet in a Blue vs. White matchup beginning at 1 p.m. The event is an opportunity to see live action game-situations between the Monmouth offensive, defensive and special teams units as they prepare for year three in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA).

In conjunction with the play on the field, fans have the opportunity to take part in a Baggo tournament behind the east end zone, with the final two teams playing at midfield during halftime of the Spring Showcase. The winning team will receive a pair of season tickets and parking passes good for the 2024 season. Fans can sign up before April 19 to secure their spot in the tournament by clicking here.

Select fans will also be chosen at random to participate in Kickin' for Chicken presented by Chick-fil-A. Live music by DJ Bundie will play during the event and fans will also have the opportunity to buy or renew their season tickets for the 2024 campaign. Following the Spring Showcase, Monmouth football will host an autograph session with the following student-athletes: Sone Ntoh, Makhi Green, TJ Speight, JT Cornelius, Ed Gatling, Remi Johnson, Kadeem McKnight, Damir McCrary, Justin O'Bannon and Justin Nyers.

Due to Monmouth University Student Government Association hosting its annual Springfest event in the Commuter Lot on campus, Monmouth football fans are encouraged to park in the Plangere Center Lot or the Northwest Lot adjacent to Kessler Stadium. A Monmouth University campus map can be found by clicking here. This year's Springfest will include attractions, novelties, gourmet BBQ, music, food trucks and a petting zoo.

For the first time, the Monmouth Digital Network will host a Monmouth Football Spring Special, an hour-long television production that will feature an in-depth preview of the 2024 Hawks. The show will feature interviews with select student-athletes, along with head coach Kevin Callahan, offensive coordinator Jeff Gallo and defensive coordinator Lewis Walker.

The Monmouth Digital Network's broadcast crew of Matt Harmon, Emory Hunt, Eddy Occhipinti, Brandon London and Dominique Patrick will break down the program, introduce the newcomers, talk about the Hawks' 2024 non-conference and CAA schedules and preview the 2024 NFL Draft with an exclusive interview with Jaden Shirden. Follow @MUHawksFB on social media for information on air times through Monmouth's broadcast partners. Last season, Monmouth's home football games aired on FloSports, SNY and NBC Sports Philadelphia.
