LITTLE SILVER, NJ – Nitika Girish earned her second singles win of the spring to lead the Monmouth University women's tennis team in a 6-1 loss to Stony Brook in Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) action on Saturday evening.

After falling in the first set of her match at third singles, Girish battled back and took the second set from Kristi Boro by a 6-0 mark. Boro had to retire and Girish claimed victory.Â

At sixth singles,
Madison Mills went back-and-forth with Sara Annamar Medved before ultimately falling, 6-4, 7-5.

The Hawks won one of the three doubles matches. At first doubles,
Lana Brezanin and
Madison Mills were able to secure a 6-4 win over Boro and Elena Lobo-Corral.
