December 18, 2024

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. — Monmouth University football quarterback Derek Robertson has been named a 2024 Stats Perform FCS All-America Third Team selection, the organization revealed Wednesday.

Robertson, who was named an Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American on Tuesday, led the FCS in total passing yards (3,937) and passing yards per game (328.1) in 2024. He set the Monmouth single-season records for both passing yards and passing touchdowns with 31, which ranked third in the FCS. The team captain finished the regular season with 283 completions on 435 attempts, a 65.1% completion rate, with 31 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

Robertson was also the nation's leader in total offense per game (325.3). In addition, he had at least one touchdown pass in every game, including six games with three or more touchdowns. Robertson's record-breaking season included a career-high 536 passing yards in the win at No. 20/18 Stony Brook (11/23). He was also named CAA Offensive Player of the Week in consecutive weeks to end the season and the CAA Offensive Player of the Year.

The Monmouth signal caller is set to return to lead the Hawks again in 2025 as they look to build upon their historic offensive performance and capture the CAA championship.
